■ An economy that exploits the ignorant proletariat—who provide an unlimited labor supply at subsistence wages—to produce inferior goods must either: (1) pursue a "beggar-thy-neighbor" export drive, or (2) maintain growth by perpetually accepting mass immigration.

■ Very few "good-natured" countries remain that will keep their doors open to a beggar-thy-neighbor export drive, and if a nation attempts to accept more immigrants, it must be prepared for the fact that many lawless individuals, such as drug cartel members, will inevitably sneak in.

■ As a result, once the beggar-thy-neighbor export drive and the influx of immigrants hit a ceiling, the nation will have no choice but to wither economically and collapse, much like the former Soviet Union and the Eastern Bloc.
